About Paul A. Samakow

For more than four decades, Paul Samakow has represented people whose lives changed in an instant.

He did not build his practice chasing easy cases. He built it standing with people who were overwhelmed, injured, and unsure where to turn.

Since becoming a lawyer in 1980, Paul has focused exclusively on representing injury survivors and their families. Over the years, his work has taken him into some of the most complex and emotionally difficult areas of personal injury law, including catastrophic injuries and cases involving preventable safety failures.

Storefront crash cases fall into that category.

They are not simple fender-benders. They often involve serious injuries, difficult liability questions, and businesses that insist the crash was “just driver error.” These cases require patience, investigation, and a willingness to ask hard questions about whether something could have been done to prevent it.

Over the years, Paul has recovered more than $50 million for his clients in compensation, but he measures success differently. He believes every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and protected. His philosophy has always been simple: treat each case as if it is the most important one in the office, because to that family, it is.

He is known for being accessible (he gives his clients his cell phone and answers it if he is awake) direct, and honest. If he believes you have a case, he will tell you. If he believes you do not, he will tell you that too.

Paul is a lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C. area and is licensed in Maryland and Virginia. When cases require litigation, he joins with local attorneys. He remains active in professional organizations dedicated to protecting the rights of injured people and regularly speaks to community groups about safety and accountability.

He is married, the father of four daughters, and a proud grandfather. Outside the courtroom, he has been an accomplished tennis player and former professional photographer, pursuits that require focus, discipline, and attention to detail, qualities he brings to every case.
